Comedian Dana Goldberg To Emcee 40th Annual HUMANITAS Prize Awards Luncheon

Hot and Hilarious!

One of our favorite comics, Dana Goldberg proves that not only is she hot and hilarious—she has a heart of gold, too! In the past few years she’s helped raise over $3 million for non-profits around the country. Now, Goldberg will emcee the 40th Annual HUMANITAS Prize Awards luncheon honoring Jason Katims with the special Kieser Award, which takes place January 16 at the Beverly Wilshire.

“We are delighted to have Dana Goldberg serve as emcee at this year’s luncheon,” said HUMANITAS Executive Director Cathleen Young. “Dana is not only a hysterically funny performer and host, she is also a devoted humanitarian who uses her quick wit and hilarious insights to shine a comedic light on important issues.”

In a seemingly never-ending whirlwind of touring the country with her unique brand of standup, Goldberg has appeared at numerous comedy festivals and competitions including the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, the Comedy Festival (produced by TBS and HBO), and the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Over the last five years, Goldberg has performed at and hosted dozens of high-profile events, sharing the national stage with such luminaries as President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, former President Bill Clinton, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lopez, John Lithgow, Alfred Molina, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Elton John, and many more. She released her much-anticipated CD last year and receives rave reviews. She has been named one of the top comedians in the nation by Advocate.com and our very own Curve magazine calls her “one of the brightest lights in a stellar comedy landscape.”

The awards Luncheon is January 16, 2016 at the Beverly Wilshire.
