Ellen DeGeneres: There Was Not One Bone Of Judgement In His Body

The comedian pays a moving tribute to her dad, who died this week

Yesterday on her talk show, comedian Ellen announced to viewers that she has just lost her father, Elliott DeGeneres.

The much-loved comedian gave a moving speech, describing how he lived to the age of 92 and enjoyed “a good, long life”.

“He was very proud of me. He loved the show. He was a kind man, a very accepting man. There was not one bone of judgement in his body.”

She also credited him for her own sense of humour, revealing, “He was very funny.”

Ellen shared with her fans that the only family holiday she ever went on included a tour of the Warner Brothers lot. She now has her own stage with her name on it, on that very lot. “He was really proud of that.”

She was able to speak to him in his final moments to say goodbye. Shortly after those precious last minutes together, Ellen looked out over her Warner Brothers lot and saw that there was a rainbow in the sky, right above her building.
