She’s The One By BL Miller And Verda Foster

A story about two female police officers that need to choose between the love for their duty and the attraction growing between them

Rookie Officer Nicole Burke is reassigned to a new Police Department and is temporary assigned to Sergeant Laurel Waxman. Without looking for love, Laurel finds herself falling in love with Nicole. But little does she know, Nicole has been hurt in the past and has promised herself not to date anyone she works with. While Laurel is willing to try, Nicole is afraid to give their love a chance.

The only description I can give this book is ‘a thrill ride’. From the beginning of the book, I feel in love with both characters. Both Nicole and Laurel were well written, the authors made sure that the evolution of the characters throughout the story was one that the readers could associate with. Page after page you could feel what the characters were feeling and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. This story not only focuses on the growing relationship between these two friends, but also on their lives working on the Police force and the taboo of dating within the workplace.

The only thing I didn’t like of this book was that I felt the ending was rushed. It was good until we reached the last two scenes of the story were I felt it happened too fast or a bit forced. If those scenes were a bit longer, or maybe another chapter was added to the book, I would say that the story was perfect. But besides that, the story will warm you up, make you laugh, will get you frustrated with the characters time and time again, and will have you turning page after page until you reach the end. This book is definitely not a waste of time. It is a great read
