Metropolitan New York Synod (Mnys) Of The Lutheran Church Releases New Children’s App

The new app is culturally, ethnically and LGBTQIA+ welcoming

The Metropolitan New York Synod (MNYS) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), announces the release of the Metropolitan New York Synod Children’s App (MNYS Children’s App.)

The app is designed to be a joyful experience to help engage and educate kids in the beauty of the accepting and welcoming the love of God.

“I am thrilled to announce the release of the Metropolitan New York Synod Children’s App,” mentioned MNYS Bishop Paul Egensteiner. “This new innovative app will aid the youth in expanding their Christian education and developing a humanly perspective of the Gospel.”

The app will feature six different games that are fun and creative, allowing children to embody the radically welcoming inclusivity of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

With its easy child-friendly navigation, youngsters will enjoy colorful and playful illustrations that bring Lutheran values to life.

The new app will allow kids to participate in challenges that help them learn and understand the importance of being culturally, ethnically and LGBTQIA+ welcoming.

It is such a pleasure to see this app come to life,” said MNYS Bishop Egensteiner. The app’s creative activities will enjoyably tune children’s skills in music, image recognition, artistic expression, and problem solving.

The app will enable children to virtually enter the open doors of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Kids of all backgrounds, who speak any language, can enjoy this entirely visual interactive experience. It is available now for iPhone, iPad, and Android, and is completely free.
