Moonlight And Transparent Win Big At The GLAAD Media Awards

Here’s who else took home trophies at the prestigious LGBTQ awards.

The 28th annual GLAAD Media Awards took place in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

A variety of LGBTQ trailblazers and straight allies were celebrated at the celebrity bash, which took place at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Top awards went to Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, she was honoured with a Vanguard prize. Music sensation Troye Sivan was presented with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, and best picture Oscar winner Moonlight, which took home outstanding film for its portrayal of LGBTQ issues.

The film’s Tarell Alvin McCraney and Trevante Rhodes were on hand to accept the award from Mary J. Blige.

Amazon’s Transparent series took home the Outstanding Comedy series trophy.
