Los Angeles Roller Derby League and the New York League have put together an all star teams to battle it out down under.
After a wait of almost 30 years, banked track roller derby is set to make an EXPLOSIVE return to Australia when the very best roller girls from the US hit our shores for the Roller Derby Xtreme series between fierce rivals the LA Derby Dolls and the New York Gotham Girls Roller Derby.
Roller Derby Xtreme is a touring family entertainment spectacular like no other. It will feature 28 of the world’s best skaters in the ultimate battle on a state of the art Roller Derby banked track.
The LA Derby Dolls superstars Bombshell Betty, Stefcon 1 and Laguna Beyatch will take on the likes of New York Gotham Girls’ Suzy Hotrod, Fisti Cuffs and Bonnie Thunders.
Representing their home towns and to celebrate this world first touring event, Australian skaters will be hand-picked to skate with the American teams, highlighting the incredible talent Australia has to offer. Ultimately the American teams will choose who skates alongside them.
Roller Derby Xtreme have enlisted one of the pioneers of the sport in Australia and RDX commentator, Betty Bamalam, to help identify the best flat track skaters to test their skills to the limit on the banked track.
