Give OUT Day is the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ+ community.

On April 20 this year, Horizons Foundation is inviting you to be a part of history and participate in the 4th National Give OUT Day for the LGBTQ community.

Give OUT Day is the national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. The 24-hour online fundraising event unites the LGBTQ community from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and D.C., to raise critically-needed funds.

Homophobic and transphobic hate crimes spiked following the election; over 130 laws attacking LGBTQ rights are pending in state legislatures around the country; and the one-year anniversary of the horrific Pulse shooting in Orlando is fast approaching.

“This year, in an incredibly difficult political and cultural environment, where local services and advocacy are needed now more than ever, Give OUT Day will raise funds and visibility for hundreds of participating organizations,” said Roger Doughty, President of Horizons Foundation, which coordinates the annual event.

Throughout the day-long event, thousands of people make gifts to support a huge spectrum of LGBTQ nonprofits across the country, ranging from the arts to social services agencies, advocacy groups to sports leagues, community centers to health care nonprofits.

Over 23,000 individual donors have contributed more than $3 million and supported more than 500 different organizations in every part of the country since its inception in 2013. Last year, Give Out Day raised over $550,000. The fundraising goal for 2017 is set at $1 million.

The event is a project hosted by Horizons Foundation, founded as a community of, by and for people in the LGBTQ community. To be apart of the event and to help support our community, head to the fundraising page here.
