Welcoming Party, Part ll

Roxie and I had some fun before the AIDS Ride.

…continued from last week.

Covering her bases in a style that I respected, Roxie had dinner plans the next evening with another gal she met on Craigslist. We arranged to meet up later, however, so she could meet my friend Talia who was also riding on AIDS Lifecycle (ALC) that year.

I woke up from my much needed after work nap to a text from Roxie saying her date was cool and she was bringing her along to drink with us. Trying not to get too nervous about the new competition, I headed to the Castro wearing lacey lingerie, a low cut shirt and funky jewelry.

Finding yet another bar with arcade games, I lost $3 in quarters waiting for Roxie, her date and Talia to join me. Roxie’s date ended up being fun to chat with and another regular reader of this blog (yay to having two fans!).

Leaving the unbearably hot bar, we ventured to a place with a pool table and Roxie challenged me to a duel. Halfway through the game, I wiped some blue pool cue chalk off of Roxie’s face and couldn’t resist kissing her.

It was the only good move I made during that game.

She quickly finished slaughtering me in pool and, saying good-bye to Talia and Roxie’s date, we headed to her hotel.

Once there, I found myself anxious, exhausted and, I hate to admit it, self-conscious. I kinda liked this gal and, contrary to logic, that made me nervous around her.

Additionally, she wasn’t ripping my clothes off. Maybe we were both tired or maybe I was just having a bad self-esteem day but I wasn’t feeling wanted, which made me feel even more awkward. So awkward, in fact, that I couldn’t orgasm.

Explaining that I really needed a long nights sleep in my own bed, I took a cab home, disappointed that I hadn’t been my usual confident, kinky and playful self.

We met up the next day to explore Golden Gate Park and she kissed me in the sculpture garden when we thought no one else was around. After eating some delicious pulled pork, she left to see her friends from Chicago who arrived in town that day for the AIDS ride and we said what I thought was a final good-bye.

Hours later, when I was already in my pink flamingo pajamas and cuddled in bed, Roxie texted me to see if I wanted to come spend the night.

Surprising both of us, I said yes.

I like to think that her promise of letting me sleep in the extra hotel bed was why I broke the no-sleepovers-rule she knew I had, but, as I broke boundaries up and down with her that night, I realized it was a bit more than that.

I changed four times before deciding on a green corset, which Roxie  removed skillfully with one hand as soon as I got to her room. The chemistry was better that night and she felt more turned on by me than before, which subsequently turned me on enough to go over the edge.

The best part of the night, however, was getting to explore her body and watching as she shook with pleasure. She was even more gorgeous naked than I had imagined, and, though I did end up in that extra bed, it was really nice waking up to the sight of her uncovered next to me.

We both had to rush to ALC Orientation, so we ate a hurried breakfast and kissed good-bye for real this time.

As we dashed off in opposite directions, my heart got a little sad.

I wanted to be doing more than volunteering that day, I wanted to be headed out on the AIDS ride as well. But more than that, I wanted to keep seeing this quirky, sexy, intelligent gal from Chicago.I can’t do anything about the fact that she lives thousands of miles away, but I can, and did, sign up to ride AIDS Lifecycle next year.

I can only hope that Roxie does the same.
