Stockholm Pride Parade 2015
More people than ever are believed to have taken part in this year’s Pride parade in Stockholm, held on Saturday August 1, 2015. The parade, now in its 18th year, is billed as the largest annual event in Scandinavia.
Over 400,00 people attended, including representatives from approximately 200 different organizations, companies, trade unions, actors groups and political parties. There was a record 175 registered floats and 71 vehicles.
The streets of Stockholm were filled with thousands of rainbowflags and people of infinite gender expression, age, cultural background and sexuality. Soap bubbles floated up into clear blue skies, placards and participants, holding balloons and placards, danced and marched to the music that boomed from loudspeakers.
