It’s October, which means it’s time for the Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. We can't wait!
Join the community as we celebrate a diverse array of LGBT films. Head to the opening night party on Thursday, October 12th, which includes a reception with hors d’ oeuvres, an open bar and music with a screening of Dirty Girl, a film set in 1987 featuring Mary Steenburgen, William H. Macy, Tim McGraw, and others.
Some of our hot picks for the fest included So Hard to Forget, a Portugese film about love and loss. Vampire girls will be dying to see We Are The Night. Those looking for something French or something with a transgender sensibility should check out Tomboy, a film about Laure, a 10 year old girl who renames herself Michael. Rocker chicks can be found at Hit So Hard, a film about Patty Schemel, the hard-hitting drummer of Courtney Love's band Hole during its peak years. Wrap it all up on Sunday with Wish Me Away, Chely Wright's documentary.
