Loving Annabelle follows a strong-willed teen that knows what she wants and knows how to get it. Not only does she rock the boat, but she rocks the bed of her hot female teacher.

2. The Four-Faced Liar

Toasting women has never been so delicious. The Four-Faced Liar isn’t your typical straight girl falls for lezzie movie where the lesbian plays a sex driven siren or that ends in death and destruction, and it’s not your cookie cutter everything-falls-into-place-too-easily movie either. The Four-Faced Liar follows Molly and Greg, a straight-laced couple who, new to New York, become friends with Trip and his Brontë-loving heartbreaker of a lesbian roommate, Bridget. It doesn’t take long for the chemistry to build between Molly and Bridget in this skillfully made romance. The film is rich in character development and is filled with cheaters, liars and heartbreak, but there are no one-sided villains or good guys. Every character is human. That’s what makes this movie great. It’s real, it’s complex, it’s endearing — it’s reflective of real life.

4. Follow My Voice

With Music of Hedwig: A moving and inspiring documentary for music lovers, LGBT activists and Hedwig and the Angry Inch aficionados. If you want to be uplifted, this is the movie you should be streaming from Netflix right now. Follow My Voice intertwines two threads: the making of the Hedwig and the Angry Inch soundtrack tribute album, which raised money for the Harvey Milk School in New York, and the lives of four teens who attend Harvey Milk School, two lesbians, a gay male and a trans woman. You get to see the making of the tribute album, a compilation of studio sessions from performers like Rufus Wainwright, Yoko Ono, Cyndi Lauper and Ben Folds, and you get into the minds and lives of the four New York queer teens, which is touching, eye opening and simultaneously sad and uplifting. Follow My Voice highlights the strength and compassion of the queer community and the difficulties that LGBT youth face.

5. My Summer of Love

Starring Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Jane Austen Book Club), My Summer of Love is a British film that teeters along the line of mocking and questioning the existence of God and the validity of religion. This film is made up of beautiful cinematography, scenic images of Yorkshire, England and a staccato pace between scenes. My Summer of Love is blunt — in its dialogue, scene transitions and characters (pun intended). Who hasn’t wished Blunt was a lesbian? This movie is worth seeing for her alone.
