EW’ has revealed that the next installment won’t hit theaters in 2013.

The sequel to “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” will not be in theaters late next year as it was originally announced, according to EW.
“The Girl who Played With Fire” is said to be still moving forward but is doing so without a director attached to it. According to the EW source, who is unnamed, the people behind the film “are not in a rush and at this point there is no information about when it might be released.”
