Web Series Recap: Chapstick

The comedic web series Chapstick follows Marlo and Addy, two best friends, and their daily struggles of being artists, being women, liking women and finding their place in this vast world.

Hilarity ensues as Addy, a mixed media artist, and Marlo, a play director, try to get a grip on their current lives and future plans. Luckily, they have each other to lean on for friendship and support.

Proudly based in the comedy Mecca of the world, Chicago, Chapstick’s goal is to normalize LGBTQ characters, while still staying true to their rainbow roots.

Created by Charlotte Kennett and Kearney Fagan, the cast and crew is comprised predominantly of LGBTQ individuals with every LGBTQ character on the show being played by an LGBTQ actor. The pair created Chapstick to provide more comedic content for LGBTQ people.

As well as being the series creators, Charlotte and Kearney also write, direct and act in every episode of Season 1.

Both are deeply invested in the comedy community in Chicago and are continually working to create new and dynamic comedic content. Chapstick is their largest comedic endeavor yet and they hope it will provide a release of laughter for those within the LGBTQ community while creating a safe haven for others.
