1.    St. Pete Pride is Florida’s largest Pride (it’s huge!)

 

2.ˆ    The annual event is now in its 16th year

 

3.    250,000 people are expected to attend this year’s festival – that’s a growth of 240,000 since its first festival in 2003!

5.    Following 2017’s overwhelming demand, 2018’s festival area has been extended by an entire city block

 

6.    A benefit concert will be taking place on the first day of the event to raise money for the local community organisations

 

7.   Within the Tampa Bay community, 312,157 people identify as LGBT – that’s seven per cent of the area’s population!

 

8.    St. Pete and its surrounding area holds the current Guinness World Record for the longest consecutive run of sunny days – a massive 768!

 

9.   Known for its beautiful sunsets, the destination has a beach specifically named “Sunset Beach”, which can be found on Treasure Island – a popular spot for the LGBTQ community
