Meet the badass women taking part in the 2018 Winter Olympics

9 of Pyeongchang’s queer athletes you should probably follow on Instagram °Å¸Å½Â¿

As the 2018 Winter Olympics kicks off, we check out which of its athletes are also on our team.

Taking place in Pyeongchang, South Korea, this year's Winter Olympics has 13 out LGBTQ athletes taking part in the competition across its fifteen sports, (and here's taking a moment to shout out to all of those competitors who aren't out) making it the Winter Olympics with the most out LGBTQ athletes taking part in it, ever.

So, before you sit down with your popcorn and start frantically waving the flag of [insert appropriate country here], let us fill you in on all the deets so you can make sure you're following and supporting our kickass queer sisters as they skate, ski, and sleigh (pun intended) their way through the snow and ice at one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.
