Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival Set To Impress

Our queer Hawaiian fam bring out the big guns at the annual LGBTI film fest.

There’s more to Hawaii than just hula hoops and ukuleles, and Honolulu’s queer arts community wants you to know it!

This August 10 – 19, the Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF) will be putting on the 28th Annual Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (HRFF28).

The HRFF is one of the longest-running LGBT film festivals in the country. VIPs this year are singer/actor/ RuPaul’s Drag Race judge: Todrick Hall, prominent civil rights activists Alexis Templeton, Oscar award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, and U.K. Olympic diving medallist Tom Daley (who will be hosting a charity pool party during the festival).

There’ll be a huge range of awesome queer features and shorts, and the vibe is always off the chain fun.

We’ve gathered the trailers for a few of the films that will be shown to give you a taste of the treat you’re in for if you decide to snap up some tickets!

There will also be a celebrity-hosted pool party fundraiser for HGLCF on August 20 in Waikiki.

Aloha, ladies!
