A Summer Of LGBT Love In Las Vegas

A Summer of LGBT Love in Las Vegas

Las Vegas welcomes LGBT special events and lives up to its reputation as a premier LGBT travel destination

In the desert there is a legendary oasis where the lights never stop shinning, the drinks never stop running, and LGBTers can party and dance for days.  Las Vegas is rolling out the rainbow carpet and stepping it up this year, with a wide variety of LGBT special events, conferences and programming. From one end of the Strip to the other, Las Vegas welcomes the LGBT community, providing each person with the opportunity to experience the trip of a lifetime.

Let’s take a look at the calendar. Created by lesbians for lesbians, Dinah Vegas celebrated its third year in Las Vegas with an amazing lineup of non-stop entertainment, gourmet dining, sunshine, and more, April 24 – 27. Caesars Entertainment welcomed the ladies in style with live musical performances by G.R.L., Haviland Stillwell and Bria and Chrissy, comedy shows, cocktail parties, and the white-hot Vegas White party at the Paris Rooftop Nightclub at Paris Las Vegas.

The Nevada Gay Rodeo Association is bringing the western lifestyle to Las Vegas with the BigHorn Rodeo, May 9 and 10, at Horseman’s Park. Cheer for your favorite cowboy or cowgirl in rough stock, speed and roping events, as well as enjoy comedy, entertainment and dancing during this weekend of western fun. The party keeps going with evening events at several Las Vegas bars and the BigHorn Sunday Pool Party at the event’s host hotel, Alexis Park All Suite Resort.

If you’re a dance club diva then come out to Las Vegas May 23-26 for Matinee Las Vegas, the biggest gay dance festival of the summer.

The four-day festival will take over Rumor Hotel with events at Havana Room at The New Tropicana Las Vegas, SHARE Nightclub and RAIN at the Palms Casino Resort. Matinee Las Vegas features eight parties, 20 DJs and welcomes thousands of LGBT partiers from around the world. If you have what it takes to be the next dance music superstar, you can enter the Matinee Las Vegas 2014 DJ contest to win a prize package, including flights, accommodations and a guest DJ set at the main party.

There’s more to love at Bigger Vegas, July 9 – 14, at the Tuscany Suites & Casino. Take advantage of special hotel rates, activity packages, pool parties, poker, and karaoke at one of the largest social events for chubby gay men and their admirers.

Show off your high kick and high score at the Las Vegas Showgirl Invitational bowling tournament, Aug. 29 – 31.

The event takes place at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall and includes team competition, as well as singles and doubles tournaments all weekend long. Join local bowlers and teams from across the U.S. in this fun LGBT bowling tournament during Labor Day weekend.
