Gay Gal at Sea: Day One
Posted Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 03:59PM
I'm sitting in a mess of suitcases and swimsuits, trying to figure out just what exactly a girl needs for a week at sea. I only have less than 24 hours to figure it out, because I'm about to set sail on Olivia's 20th Anniversary Western Caribbean cruise. We're headed for Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya, and I'll be blogging from the ms Ryndam all week long to share all of the trouble my girl and I plan to get into.
The Indigo Girls and Leisha Hailey will be on board before we head out for the week and there's tons of other entertainment lined up too—Meg Christian, Julie Wolf, Suede, Vickie Shaw, Julie Goldman, Karen Williams, and Dana Goldberg. Oh, and legend Carol Queen will be there too, giving her Good Vibrations workshops. Should be very stimulating, I'm sure. (Sorry. Couldn't resist!)
Okay, well, I better get back to packing. But I'll "talk" to you tomorrow. I'm sure I'll have lots to report and plenty of photos to share. And if you've ever been on an Olivia cruise, I hope you'll share any stories or advice you might have. Anchors aweigh!
