Retro Rouge

Retro Rouge

Hello to all my high-femme sisters! Welcome to my sparkly new blog about all things, well, sparkly. Herein we will unapologetically be discussing all things fabulous. Topics may include but will not be limited to: Cosmetics, fashion, fatshion, hairstyles and glittery objects of all shapes and sizes.

Kicking things off is my latest obsession Besame’s Crimson Cream Rouge. I love a good blush but I haven’t had much luck with cream blushes in the past. However the promise of a retro result had me intrigued when I happened upon the Besame line. Plus, the pretty red and gold packaging, like any well Pavlovian trained consumer wooed me as well.

The product itself is bright and creamy and can be applied with your finger and blends easily with two fingers. The result is a warm rosy cheek, think a flushed cheek from the cold or an especially skillful smooch. But user beware, a little goes a long way and quickly goes from blush to hot pink—unless of course that’s your jam and if so rock on. As an added bonus it makes for a gorgeous lip stain.

Check out my experiment below.
