Lesbian Music Video: Carousel With Sami Grisafe

New Lesbian Music Video Releases: Sami Grisafe's "Carousel"

Carousel is a lesbian video release that invokes the emotional uncertainty endured when we experience indecisive love.

This beautifully made video expresses through lyric and music the internal tug of war created when we crave what is so very wrong for us.

Carousel stars Sami Grisafe, an award winning singer-songwriter and all-star athlete who was recently featured on Fust TV and in Curve Magazine, and Scout Durwood, an acclaimed stand-up and cabaret performer, whose work has been featured on MTV, The Howard Stern Show and The Mindy Project.

Grisafe received international attention this past summer for her performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” moments before taking the field and winning the World Championship as Quarterback for Team USA. Buzzfeed called it “the most inspiring combination of sports and music you will ever see.”

“Carousel” is a song from Sami Grisafe’s second album, ATLANTIS, a refreshingly diverse album, receiving 6 Grammy pre-nominations with a few Grammy Award winning collaborators associated with it such as blues artist Sugar Blue (Rolling Stones) and producer Ricciano Lumpkins (TLC, P.O.D., Mya) as well as acclaimed Chicago-based musicians, Brother John (Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Black Crowes) and Matt Hines (winner of Guitar Center’s 2013 Blues Masters competition). Grisafe’s original music combines a folk rock style with authentic and provocative lyrics. She is currently on tour promoting her second album, ATLANTIS, and the new feature documentary, THE TACKLE GIRLS: One Team, One Mission, which stars Grisafe and features her original music.

This past Fall, Grisafe, an equality advocate, headlined the Rock the March concert with her new song, “Brand New Fairy Tale,” at the March on Springfield for Marriage Equality, one of the largest marches in history on the state capitol of Illinois. She also performed the national anthem at the Illinois Bill signing by special request from the Governor. She continues her advocacy efforts with multiple performances supporting the Human Rights Campaign and an upcoming performance at Soldier Field for the American Brain Tumor Association.

Grisafe first made national news as a teenager in Redlands, CA when she became the first female quarterback in the State to play in a Division I High School football game. She was the first female quarterback to throw a touchdown in an international women’s tackle football championship during the first Women’s World Championship in 2010. During 2013, Grisafe led Team USA to a decisive World Championship and quarterbacked the Chicago Force’s 2013 Perfect Season and National Championship, throwing for an astonishing 4301 yards and 57 touchdowns in only 12 games
