Not a happy watch, but a spellbinding drama and a chilling portrait of how homophobia and the rumor mill can ruin innocent lives, as well as one of the earlier sympathetic Hollywood portrayals of a lesbian.
As an aside, who wouldn’t be gay for Audrey Hepburn?
