The movie encompassed many thought-provoking issues and difficulties that can surround an age gap and forbidden relationship. This was mixed carefully with coming out; the angst of falling for forbidden fruit; the ultimate break-up forced by convention and giving up what you want, for what you believe is best for those concerned.
