AFTRSAttention! All aspiring film industry creatives: you’ll want to check out this new and FREE talent camp.

If there’s anything we love more than a good meme these days, it’s seeing innovation and progress in education for the LGBTIQ+ community. In recent years, we’re seeing more and more institutions introduce new programs that focus on inclusion and diversity and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is the latest to jump on board, having just recently launched a brand new program called Talent Camp.

The course is a one week, diversity and inclusion project designed to provide skills-development opportunities to emerging storytellers and screen content creatives from diverse backgrounds. From sexual orientation and gender identity, through to cultural background, disability, geographic disadvantaged and socio-economic status individuals.

The Talent Camp will focus on story development, producing considerations and career pathways in the film and screen media industry. Due to the nature of the course, AFTRS are interested in people who have produced creative works and are passionate about storytelling.

The NSW workshops take place in Sydney and are open to participants from all across the state. And what’s even better – participation is completely FREE. Funds will be made available to contribute to travel and accommodation costs for those participants who are coming from rural or regional locations.
