Have you ever heard the saying “You can find love in the most unexpected places’? That is the case in this wonderful story.

Mackenzie was in a relationship with Kim for around eighteen months. Two weeks before their wedding, Kim broke up with Mackenzie telling her that she was still in love with her ex-girlfriend Tina.  Not knowing what to do with her life, she calls the Rainbow’s Edge, the hotel were she was to spend her honeymoon, to cancel the reservation. Then it hits her; she can extend the stay at the hotel and use the opportunity to distract her from her reality. She calls her best friend Allison and convinces her to fly to Florida and stay with her at the hotel.

Once they made it to the hotel, Allison does her best to distract Mackenzie from her failed relationship with Kim. She schedules her a massage the day before the wedding. She loves it so much, that she schedules a couples massage day for both her and Allison. When they go, Mackenzie gets a massage from a girl named Frankie, whom she meets that night in the nightclub. There, she doesn’t listen to Allison’s warnings and gets really drunk. The next morning, she wakes up with a hangover and no recollection of what happened the night before.

First of all, I have to start by saying that this story was really good. I never expected the way the story evolved, I was expecting something completely different, and that’s why I loved it. The storyline was very entertaining and I couldn’t find the right moment to make a pause and put the book down, I just wanted to keep reading until the last page.

Second of all, the characters are really charming. We have Mackenzie, who went through a very difficult time in her life, but thanks to her best friend she managed to go through it and find happiness after the storm. Then we have Allison, the best friend who has a great sense of humour and is always there for Mackenzie. What I found charming about these two characters were the blond and Polish jokes. Every time it got tough through them they started making those jokes and made me smile even more. I called them ‘the dynamic duo’, because they complemented each other perfectly. From all the characters Georgia Beers has created, these two have to be in my top five.

The ending of this story left room for a sequel if the author desires to do one, but also gave you a feeling of closure. So either way, the ending was right. I have to say, Georgia Beers keeps surprising me with her stories. They are always good with a great storyline and amazing characters. That is why she is one of my favorite authors and as always with her books, I can’t wait to see what she’s going to write next.
