Madonna’s Australian tour cancelled

The pop star will not be bringing MDMA our way.

It was to be Madonna's first Australian tour in 20 years, but that is unfortunately no more.

According to news.com.au, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary told the Australian show promoters Live Nation that Madonna had a "change of heart overnight."

Live Nation Australia has confirmed that the concert is indeed cancelled and did not issue any further comments.

Perhaps we should've seen this coming. Madonna was due to announce the summer dates of the tour for her Melbourne and Sydney stops last week, but then said that she would be postponing the announcement until after the London Olympics, which wrap up August 12.

This isn't the first time Madonna has cancelled her Australian shows. It happened back in 2009 as well. Back then Oseary told fans, "Madonna really needs to go to Australia. We are long overdue for a trip Down Under and apologise for that. It will happen."

Or, it won't.
