| Curve, the nation’s best-selling lesbian magazine, is looking for a few good interns! If you’re interested in learning the basics of magazine publishing, are well-organized and can work well with others, this may be the job for you. These are unpaid positions only, with no stipend for housing assistance. The following internship positions are available:
1. A general editorial intern: The dates and times for this position are flexible, though it must be 20 hours per week between the 8 to 6 time frame.
2. An advanced editorial intern: Strong proofreading and copyediting skills are required (knowledge of AP, Chicago or MLA style preferred), with at least six months of experience in publishing or a related field. The dates and times for this position are flexible, though it must be 20 hours per week between the 8 to 6 time frame.
3. Art Intern: This intern will be in charge of artwork aquisitions and serves as a liason between the photo editor and the other editors. The dates and times for this position are flexible, though it must be 20 hours a week between the 8 to 6 time frame.
4. Web Publishing Intern: Familiarity with web editing software (Dreamweaver preferred), PhotoShop and HTML required. Experience with database programming and content management systems preferred. This intern must be available to work on Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
