This is her first self-produced album since 2004 and is Alternative Country. It was recorded with a live band and is her 17th album. The voices of Paula Cole, Natalia Zukerman, and Rose Polenzani can be found on this album. There is such a mix of wonderful voices and instruments in all of the songs. All of the songs on this record will make you feel the range of emotions of the relationships and life. Her songs The Truth Is, Pity Song, and Everything You Were would have to be my favorites on this album.
Melissa Ferrick is a very talented songwriter and plays several instruments. She is a 8 time Boston Music Awards winner and a 2 time RightOutTv Awards winner. Her music style over the years has been all over the charts.
