Miami Beach, FL (April 3rd, 2014) From May 14 to 18, thousands of women from all over the world will descend on South Beach to listen to live music, bask in the sun, dance the night away to the sounds of internationally known DJs and enjoy cultural evenings at VIP cocktail parties. The largest charity event for the LBT community in the nation, Aqua Girl is coming back to Miami for the 15th year in a row.

Attendees can choose from a variety of exciting events and ticket options. For the woman who wants to have it all, Aqua Girl has the upgraded VIP pass, which includes priority access to ten events, OPEN BAR at six events, personalized concierge service, goodie bag and complimentary shuttle passes.

This year, the always hotly anticipated Miami VIP cocktail reception will be making another glamorous appearance at the same location on Lincoln Road where the very first Aqua Girl event was hosted in the year 1999. Come prepared to mingle with VIPs, taking in the breathtaking view! Attendees will enjoy delicious appetizers by award winning chef Robyn Almodovar. Also, for the second time, Aqua Girl will be holding a VIP cocktail reception in Ft. Lauderdale to kick things off. This special, signature event is eagerly anticipated, so be sure to get tickets now! The reception will be held in a beautiful private home with sophisticated, elegant musical entertainment. Expect sumptuous, carefully catered hor d'oeuvres and drinks.

For the crowd of ladies who like to sample the local scene and experience the music culture of Miami, Aqua Girl will be featuring a Live Music event at Grand Central. And, the event that brings all the girls back year after year, the Saturday Pool party will be hotter than ever at the beautiful, beachfront National Hotel in South Beach! The party will be thumping with hip, hot DJs spinning in the summer sun all centered around the cool, gorgeous infinity pool at the host hotel, the National, which will be filled with sexy, bikiniclad women from around the world.

Aqua Girl is also bringing back a new favorite from last year, Sip and Savor! Sample fragrant wine and artisanal cheeses on the rooftop of the Betsy, overlooking Ocean Drive, where attendees will be treated to gorgeous views of the ocean and nightlife on south beach. Get to know new friends better in a quieter, slowerpaced atmosphere. Then head out to some dancing shows at one of the most popular dance parties, Traffic Jam! Ladies can select from green (go for it), yellow (approach with caution), and red (taken) glowstick necklaces at the entrance which indicate whether that girl in the corner is taken or on the prowl!

Proceeds from Aqua Girl directly benefit Aqua Foundation for Women, a notforprofitfoundation whose mission is to serve as the funding catalyst for lesbian, bisexual, and transgender wellness and equality in South Florida through scholarships, mentors and grants such as LGBTQ Youth Homeless Initiative.

About Aqua Girl Aqua Girl® traces its beginnings to the year 1999. That year, Alison Burgos and NYC’s legendary women’s producer, Shescape, gathered a committee of likeminded women from around South Florida to produce an exciting onenight event to benefit breast cancer. The event, Sweet Charity, was an extraordinary dance event bringing together over 800 women and raising over $15,000 for two local breast cancer organizations, Cancer Link and Gilda’s Club
.
In 2000, Sweet Charity grew into an entire weekend of events and Aqua Girl® was born. The goal was to create a dynamic national fundraising weekend celebrating women and the issues that affect them. Women descended on Miami from all over the world and the first year of this spectacular weekend of events was a huge success.

As the largest charity women’s week in the country, your participation in Aqua Girl® contributes to a very good cause. In fact, 100% of the proceeds from Aqua Girl® benefit the Aqua Foundation for Women, a notforprofit foundation whose primary mission is to serve as the funding catalyst for lesbian, bisexual, and transgender wellness and equality in South Florida through grants, scholarships, and initiatives.
