Eighth Annual Funnyfest Tickets on Sale NOW

Funnyfest Producer and host Dana Goldberg, a New Mexico native, returns to Albuquerque and brings with her comedians Gloria Bigelow, Gina Yashere, and Suzanne Westenhoefer!


On April 19th, 2014, The KiMo Theater will play host to The Annual Southwest FunnyFest for the 8th consecutive year. This event has brought over two dozen award-winning national comedians from Showtime, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, LOGO, HBO; and Last comic Standing to the Land Of Enchantment. Over the last seven years the Southwest Funnyfest has helped to raise over $25,000 for New Mexico AIDS Services and will add to that total this year.


Producer and host Dana Goldberg, a New Mexico native, returns to Albuquerque and bring with her comedians Gloria Bigelow, Gina Yashere, and Suzanne Westenhoefer! These comedians have performed all over the world and have been seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comedy Central, HBO, LOGO, Last Comic Standing, and Showtime. For one night only, they will light up the stage at the Historic KiMo Theater in downtown Albuquerque.

About This Blog

Poppy Champlin is a veteran comic who is crackerjack at improvising with her audience.  A Graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BFA in Theatre – Poppy hit the ground running.  She hit Chicago and trained at Second City Training Center while performing and honing her craft of standup at comedy clubs such as Catch a Rising Star, The Improv, The Funny Firm and Zanies.  Her Television credits include: The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Joan Rivers Show, Rosie O’Donnell’s VH-1 – Comedy Central, Showtime and LOGO to name a few.  Poppy is also a producer of her own all lesbian touring comedy show called The Queer Queens of Qomedy. A regular performer in P-Town, and on Olivia cruises Poppy now resides in Rhode Island.
