Watch: Our Interview with Bria & Chrissy, Dee Meredith, Amy Andrews, Paul Warner & Sean Robinson

If you missed our live interview with musicians Bria & Chrissy, Dee Meredith & Amy Andrews & filmmakers Paul Warner & Sean Robinson, you can watch it right here.

Inspired by the OUTmusic Awards, also known as the LGBT Academy of Recording Arts (LARA), we hosted a three-part live video interview series revolving around queer music. The OUTmusic Awards has been recognizing and supporting out and proud LGBT musicians for 23 years. OUTmusic, a 501c3 nonprofit, is comprised of recording artists, composers, musicians, producers, performers and those that support the advancement of LGBT artists in the music and entertainment industry. OUTmusic is about more than supporting the queer music community; it's about increasing awareness of the contributions that queer musicians have made in the music industry, as well as their impact on our past and present LGBT civil rights movement.

In our second live interview we got to talk with the chairwoman of the OUTmusic Awards, Dee Meredith (a.k.a. singer Deepa Soul), singer-songwriter Amy Andrews and couple and musical duo Bria and Chrissy. We also chatted with the creative producer, Paul Warner, and the director, Sean Robinson, of the documentary For Which We Stand (One Queer Music Nation). Each person spoke about the bigotry and the resistance that still exists in the music industry and within the queer community towards queer musicians, as well as the importance of having something like the OUTmusic Awards to champion queer music, artists and our voices.
