Once Upon a Time Regina & Emma

Swan Queen - Regina & Emma

Fandom is generally ignited through the intense and dynamic relationship between two characters in a TV show or Film.  Romantic subtext and “shipping” are obviously a big part of why people are drawn to certain Fandoms which is why there are hundreds of lesbian 'canon' fan fiction stories and videos made about 'real' pairings.  Still, there is nothing more tempting to a fanfic writer or a videographer than to feed the frenzy of 'Non canon' pairings featuring characters who are not actually 'together'.  We at Curve Magazine want to build a home base for this fan fiction and videos so we are very excited to introduce Stefani Spencer who will curate and post the best fan made canon and non-canon videos.  Let us know if we've missed any of your favourite so we can add more videos to the list.  Enjoy!

SWANQUEEN

ABC’s Once upon a Time, is a show about fairytales, good and evil and long lost love.

The show takes place in two different universes, Fairytale Land and the fabricated town of Storybrooke. The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) inflicts a curse upon every fairytale character living in Fairytale Land by robbing them of their happy endings.  The Evil Queen sends the characters to Storybrooke taking away their memories.  But there is hope for the citizens of Storybrooke as Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, finds her way to Storybrooke to save them all.

Fan surveys continue to prove that the most popular ‘couple’ shipped on the show is the Non-Canon SWANQUEEN (Emma Swan and Evil Queen).
