Megan Bernard - 'Bulldozing'

Megan Bernard is releasing her latest single 'Bulldozing'.

Published:

'Bulldozing' is the much anticipated follow up to this Melbourne Hybrid-Pop siren's previous releases 'Big Dreams', and 'Shifting Futures'.  Recorded with Bernard's long time Producer, Kalju Tonuma, 'Bulldozing' takes her sound and songwriting to an amazing new place.
A synergy of harmonic tension, Megan's sensual, haunting vocal delivery, aggressive sonic attack, and elegant lyrical structure, this new track is the culmination of her work to date.  'Bulldozing' layers gritty electric andbass guitar, and instrument samples including an Indian Sarangi taken from Orchestral Rock band BaK.
“A fabulous guitarist” Gotye
Bernard's sound is the lovechild of an eclectic mix of influences, predominantly her John Mayer inspired guitar style and the luscious soundscapes and vocal style of Imogen Heap.   Bernard’s literary powers have evolved to match the maturity of her music.  The raw, heart rending lyric of 'Bulldozing' describes the unsettling trauma of emotional abuse from the point of view of a victim, and cries out to an assailant who is "switched off to the bruising".
'Bulldozing' launches at The Edinburgh Castle, Brunswick, on November 28th with supports from Lauren Glezer and Damon Smith.   Doors open 8pm, tickets $10. Digital download available from November 28th.
