If you haven't tuned into breakout artist Lana Del Rey yet, her newest video for "Summertime Sadness" will surely make you a fan. Much like the lyrics in her songs, Del Rey's new video features grainy, Super 8-style snapshots of moments—vivid, smoky and reminiscent of another time. This mournful story centers around Hart of Dixie's Jaime King and Del Rey, two lesbian lovers who are about to take their own lives.
King's husband, filmmaker Kyle Newman directed the music video, which was shot in Santa Clarita, Calif. in April and May.
