For those of us still lamenting over the end of Showtime’s The L Word, our dyke drama void is about to be filled—with another Ilene Chaiken series. Get ready for unbridled and unscripted scandal with The Real L Word: Los Angeles.
Showtime recently gave the go-ahead to a nine episode run of the reality series which will document the trials and tribulations of six L.A. lesbians. Much in the spirit of Bravo’s highly successful Real Housewives franchise, The Real L Word will kick the scripts to the curb and let the drama unfurl.
Chaiken, creator of The L Word, commented to Variety that when it comes to lesbian matters in the media, she has unfinished business.
"Even though we concluded our sixth season of The L Word on Showtime this past March, I believe we are not nearly finished telling our L Word stories,” says Chaiken. “Showtime has yet again come forward to continue with us this mission to entertain and enlighten and bring more 'L' to the world."
According to Variety, if all goes as planned The Real L Word is scheduled to debut on Showtime, sometime in 2010.

My wife and I really miss L Word and we are looking forward to this show. Our one request is , please have fun and interesting couples and not totally ridiculously neurotic women!!!

hallo ihr tolle frauen , was ihr offensichtlich nicht klar ist, ist das es männer gibt die nicht nur rein sexuelle interesse haben sondern typen wie ich die grundsätzlich nur ein beziehung haben wollen mit frauen die lesbische natur sind. ach ja sagt ihr noch so ein perverse. hmmm mag sein wenn ihr meint aber ich persönlich halte es einfach für toll das frauen sich lieben können auf jegliche art und weisse .ich bin nicht schwull oder so und ich wurde es nie werden . aber eine beziehung mit zwei oder mehrere frauen die homosexuelle neigungen haben fand ich super. na,ja vieleicht bekomme ich nur blöde sprüche zuruck aber wer weiss vieleicht ein paar bifrauen melden sich ,es wurde mich sehr freuen .ach ja bin trotzdem in sex interessiert
