This piece is not pretending to be anything other than a friendly tip: if you’re in the mood for some diverse lesbian representation on a show in which female friendship is the main game, the female boss is not portrayed as a crazy, power-hungry cow, and exploring your sexuality is seen as normal, valid, and to be encouraged, then Freeform’s “The Bold Type” may be of interest to you.

The relationship we are most here for at the moment is between Kat, a pansexual biracial black woman working as social media director at women’s magazine, Scarlet, and Adena, an Iranian lesbian Muslim photographer. The two sizzle in their scenes together and Kat’s coming out to her friends is totally positive and open and wonderful.

The first season has just concluded, with the finale airing last week. So now you can binge watch to your heart’s content!
