This year's events sponsored by Curve Magazine, included a standing-room-only pool parties at the Marriott Courtyard Lake Buena Vista Village, a comedy show starring the legendary Suzanne Westenhoeffer, private night club events hosted at the House of Blues and Downtown Disney venues where an estimated 2,000 women crowded the dance floor and marveled at a dazzling Cirque-type show. This year's Disney World Gay Days certainly lived up to its billing as among the best LGBT parties in the country.

To mark the birthday of legendary activist Harvey Milk and the rebirth of a fighting movement for LGBT Equality, people across the country took part in events to honor Harvey’s legacy and demand full equality in all spheres of life from coast to coast. On May 22, people flocked to Austin, Texas for a Harvey Milk Day march and rally featuring fighters from the front lines of today’s battles for equality. Aqua Girl™, the largest women’s charity week in the country, broke new records for attendance and monies raised this year. This year’s event welcomed 11,000 women to play in the hot, South Florida sun and raised over $260,000 dollars for the Aqua Foundation for Women, making it the most successful Aqua Girl™ to date. This year’s festivities began with the “Hollywood Glam” VIP cocktail reception, then continued all week long with a bowl-a-thon, dance parties, pool parties, a comedy night, a tea dance, a dinner party and a jazz brunch. Each year, Aqua Girl unites a diverse group of attendees and celebrity entertainers – including women of all ages, colors and cultures, – for an unforgettable week-long party.
