Making the Moves
About a month ago, I put two ads on Craigslist at the same time – one searching for “Just Friends” and the other searching for “Just Sex.”
Ironically, the responses to the Just Friends ad produced creepiness (“I’ve lived here for 6 years, it would be nice to finally have a friend”) and the Just Sex ad introduced me to some fun new people.
One of those people is Costello, the girl I was anxiously waiting for at a café a few blogs back in My Very First, First Date. Costello’s response to my ad was sexual without being creepy, and after a few interactions on email, we met for that tea date, followed by an evening cabaret show.
I wanted to invite myself over to her house that night, but a friend’s need trumped my desires, and so we said farewell without even a kiss. It was two weeks before I made it back to her town, and by that time we had sexted in detail what we wanted to do with each other.
We met for dinner at a Thai place that had better reviews than the food deserved, and talked for too long after our meals were done. For a reason I can’t remember, we decided we just had to go teeter-tottering, and went to a local park to satisfy our craving. I’d hoped for some slide or swing sex, but alas, no moves were made.
Still dizzy from spinning swings, we went back to her place under the pretense of seeing what On Demand had in the way of movies. Pretense turned into reality, though, when we made it through the whole fabulously hilarious Spice World without a single wandering hand.
Moving on to sex toy websites, I inched closer to her yet still didn’t feel a response. When we started looking at porn sites without a move being made, I thought we were doomed. Remembering the new bolder style I decided to adopt in last week’s blog, I finally just grabbed and kissed her.
I let out a sigh of relief when she kissed me back.
Grabbing and kissing someone is scary. Slowly moving towards each other makes it obvious the other person wants it too, but if you’re getting nothing from the body language, it’s a frightening prospect to go boldly where you haven’t gone before.
Yet, once it was over, it was hard to see what all the fear was about. Obviously she wanted it too, we’d talked about it for awhile, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise that she kissed me back.
I thought that once we breached the first kiss we would rip each other’s clothes immediately off and go at it like wild rabbits, but again, things moved slowly. Each step took time and prodding on my part. She wasn’t being prudish by any means, but she definitely didn’t move as fast as I was used to.
Some say it’s good for me to learn to slow down, but by the time we got to the main show my legs were so sore from being pressed open during the hours of dry humping that I wasn’t able to ride as fiercely as I’d have liked.
Flipping on my back, she grabbed a latex glove and worked me so hard her bed rolled its way across her wooden floor to the other side of the room. Grabbing a pillow, I covered my mouth and screamed as I went over the edge.
We went for more until my legs gave out and we both collapsed exhausted onto her bed. We laid for a bit deciding how to feed our growling stomachs (it had been almost 12 hours since that unsatisfying Thai dinner), but exhaustion won over and we fell asleep.
Not one for spending the night, I soon got up, got dressed, and got out of there in as polite of a way as possible. Nothing against Costello, I just sleep better curled up with my gay boyfriend, Pumpkin, than a virtual stranger.
Once I got back to his house, Pumpkin and I chatted about our mutual morning ménages, and he congratulated me on finally growing a pair and kissing her. We both passed out with smiles on our faces and pain in our thighs, and didn’t wake up until it was time to do it all again the next evening.
